For the bedroom of a holiday apartment in Torrevieja, a holistic interior design concept was developed. The bedroom was to be completely reconceived and elevated. The goal was to optimise the room functionally, calm it visually and give it a modern, high-end presence.

The existing built-in wardrobe is converted into an open wardrobe to improve accessibility and give the room a lighter feel. For this, the wardrobe is clad in wooden panels. The door to the bedroom is removed entirely to create more space.

In the bedroom, a design wallpaper is integrated as a deliberate eye-catcher. The wooden panels on the wardrobe bring warm materiality and a linear structure into the room. Long curtains add a hotel-room feel to the space.

The design wallpaper forms the visual focus of the room, while the rest of the furnishings stay deliberately restrained. Long curtains emphasise the height of the windows and support the hotel-room feel.

In its open form, the wardrobe becomes a visible, design-driven component.

An unremarkable bedroom becomes a high-end, hotel-like space with a modern character. The design wallpaper, the wood-clad open wardrobe and the long curtains together form the design concept of the bedroom.
