Private Yoga Room
The Brief
For a private yoga room in a new-build corner house in Daya Vieja, a holistic interior design concept was developed. The focus was on retreat, light and a clear, meditative spatial effect.

The Spatial Concept
The highlight of the design is a deep window seat that extends the room functionally and creates a place for rest, reading or meditation. The window seat sits in the brightest area of the room and opens the view onto the adjoining lavender field.
Built-in wall niches hold towels, yoga mats and accessories flush with the wall, so the practice surface stays clear.

Materials & Finishes
The material palette is consistently reduced: mineral plaster on the walls and a concrete-design floor, a window seat and a wicker basket for yoga mats. The colour palette stays on a few warm natural tones; the atmosphere comes from light and texture.

Atmosphere & Detail
The deep window seat is the brightest and quietest spot in the room. The view from the window falls onto the adjoining lavender field, tying the yoga room to its Mediterranean setting. The design supports slowing down and mindfulness through a reduced formal language and natural lighting.
The Outcome
The result is a calm, minimalist yoga room with a view of the lavender field. The deep window seat, the reduced material palette of mineral plaster and the integrated storage for mats and accessories create the meditative atmosphere of the room.
